It's such a lovely time of year isn't it? All the snow and decorations and twinkling lights...
I remember my first Christmas away from home. It was awful.
I remember the one after that. It was also awful.
Infact, every Christmas I've spent away from home has been awful.
I've spent Christmas on the prisinte beaches of Australia, I've spent it on the sands of Africa giving away presents to orphaned kids, I've spent it alone in the busy city of Belo. And they've all been horrible. I know what you're going to say, "are you saying that the Christmas you spent giving away presents to orphans in Africa isn't better than Christmas in Canada with tons of food and gifts?"
That's what I'm saying.
Don't get me wrong, it was a really cool experience and I felt like a good human doing it, but I was secretly a bit sad inside. Maybe I'm a bad person. Or maybe I'm just a person who is being honest and saying that Christmas is my favorite time of year and no matter what I'm doing, if I'm not sitting by the tree in Canada drinking hot coco and listening to Christmas music I get mopey.
Too honest? Too bad.
Just kidding.
Kind of.
Wanna see our tree? It looks hungry, I know. But just squint and you won't even notice.
I think I might make Deison watch a Christmas movie with me tonight. Although he isn't quite into the "Christmas Spirit" like I am. This is what happened a few weeks ago. Yes, it is what it looks like. He hung his dirty socks on my precious tree. Nice.

Your tree doesn't look hungry. It just hasn't had enough of your sugar cookies yet. It looks more like naked. It needs a (tree)skirt.
i'll be waiting :D
You could put a bunch of Deison's socks around the bottom of the tree instead of a skirt ;)
